HWE participated in a workshop to assess the draft of an environmental and natural reserves law in Palestine. This workshop was arranged by Environmental Quality Authority and Ministry of Agricultural and was funded by the United Nations Environmental Program- Regional Office for West Asia. The workshop was on April 5, 2010.

HWE coordinated a field visit with minister Dr. Shaddad Al ‘Attily, the Head of the Palestinian Water Authority, to the solar energy project in Betello Village. The aim of the visit is to show the minister the importance of the project its results. The visit was conducted on February 24, 2010

HWE held a workshop on February 1, 2010 in Beitello Village within the solar energy project. The title of the workshop is “discussing and examine the project steps of pumping water by solar energy in Betello”.

HWE held a workshop on November 11, 2009 at Nablus Municipality for the project of Protection of Nablus Springs in order to coordinate the work and plans for the project management mechanism and protection springs methods with the participation of Nablus Municipality and GTZ representative.

Environmental Sustainability and Water protection and management for Farmers in Jeftlik, Jericho October, 2009


HWE conducted a training Course in October 2009 for the farmers in Al-Jeftilk area, Jericho. The training was conducted over three days.

GIS Applications in Urban Planning Training 17 Dec, 2008 – 3 Jan, 2009


Ramallah- Within the activities of the TEMPUS project, which is funded by the European Union to build the capacity in GIS application in the field of water and environment, the House of Water and Environment has conducted two training courses in the GIS Application in Urban planning .

Symposium and Training Course to Introduce WAS and MYWAS Models Ramallah, Palestine 2 - 4 December, 2008


Eng Jumana Abu Sada and Eng Lubna Siam attended a three day training course which introduces WAS and MYWAS models. This course was conducted by Prof. Franklin Fisher from MIT University, USA and Dr Anan Jayyousi from An Najah University, Palestine, the training course was held at Rocky Hotel, Ramallah, December 2-4, 2008.

HWE works closely with Newcastle University (UK) and many other international institutions and funding agencies such as UNESCO, ESCWA, CEDARE, UNU, USAID, DFID, AFD, GTZ, GWP, EUWI, JICA, ACSAD, BGR, EU, etc.

Main Goals

HWE offers a wide variety of services in water, sanitation and environmental engineering and science from the needs identification stage to the elaboration of tender documents, supervision of works and technical assistance.
